| Readings in Postmodern Philosophy/Theology
Readings in Postmodern Philosophy/Theology is an advanced course offered by Northern Seminary for those having already completed the foundational courses in Systematic Theology and Ethics.
It offers an opportunity for those already interested in the current streams of postmodern philosophy to understand further the underpinnings of postmodern thought and the theologies emerging in relation to this postmodern thought.

This course aims to initiate those advanced theology students who are yet uninitiated into the thought-world of many of the Continental philosophers who are so influencing contemporary Western theology and society today. During the course we will cover short readings from the following continental thinkers: Levinas, Foucault, Derrida, Kristeva and Iragarey. We will then cover short readings from current theologians responding to these philosophers including Rollins,Caputo, Milbank, Hauerwas and Rebecca Chopp.
