Adjunct Professor of Church History
Charles Weber, Adjunct Professor of Church History, has a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. His dissertation focused on Baptists in the late colonial period of Cameroon. He currently serves as Professor of History at Wheaton College where he teaches courses on African and Asian History. He is especially interested in the role of religion in issues related to the creation of national identity and independence movements. He and his wife are active in Baptist World Alliance and he chaired the BWA’s Heritage and Identity Commission from 2000-2005. He has taught and traveled in Asia, Africa and Europe.
