Jeffrey S. Hubing

Rockford Extension Program Director
Adjunct Professor of New Testament

Ph.D. 2007 Loyola University Chicago

M.A. 1997 Wheaton College Graduate School

Background

Since 1994, Jeff has been privileged to be both a student and teacher of the Scriptures in academic and local church settings. He holds an M.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Wheaton College Graduate School and a Ph.D. in New Testament and Early Christianity from Loyola University Chicago. He is an adjunct faculty member at Christian Life College (Mt. Prospect, IL) and Northern Seminary. From 1997-2005 he served in pastoral ministry for two non-denominational, multi-ethnic churches in and around Chicago. He currently serves as a Teaching Pastor at Rock Church, in Rockford, Illinois. Jeff’s academic and ministry contexts reflect the two primary components of his calling: to teach and train Christian leaders, and to build local churches.  His passions for revival and the dynamic presence of God have also been foundational for both his scholarship and congregational ministry. Jeff and his wife, Carol, live in Rockford with their sons and daughter: Cadence (‘01), Isaac (‘04), and Acacia (‘05).
