Antonia Lucic Gonzalez

Adjunct Professor of Church History

Antonia was born in Germany and raised in Croatia, former Yugoslavia, where she earned her Bachelor of Theology at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek. She then continued her theological education at International Baptist Theological Seminary in Prague, Czech Republic, where she earned her Master in Theology in Baptist and Anabaptist Studies.

Antonia got her Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary, in the area of Church History/Historical Theology. Her dissertation focused on Anabaptist theology, specifically on Balthasar Hubmaier's relationship to Christian tradition. Antonia has served as an Interim Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church of Pasadena for the past two years where she was ordained for ministry with American Baptist Denomination this year. She also serves on Faculty of Matija Vlacic Ilirik Theological Seminary in Zagreb, Croatia.

Antonia and her husband Jonathan live in Pasadena where, in the seventh year of their marriage, they are expecting their first child in November 2011.
