Application for Northern Scholarships and Grants-in-Aid

2008-2009

Northern Seminary has limited scholarship and grant dollars available. Northern Scholarship and Grant-in-Aid recipients are selected on the basis of merit and financial need. In order for an application to be considered, a student must be admitted to a degree program at Northern Seminary and enroll full-time (at least 9 hours per
academic quarter). Students must reapply for aid each academic year. The application deadline for Fall 2008 enrollment is May 30, 2008. Applications received after June 1 and applications for Winter and Spring quarters will be considered on a case-by-case basis as long as seminary funds remain available. The applicant must mail a signed copy of the 2007 Federal Income Tax Return.

Please note: Northern Scholarship and Grant-in-Aid awards are limited to 9 quarters (or 108 hours, whichever comes first) for students enrolled in the Master of Divinity program and to 6 quarters (or 66 hours, whichever comes first) for students enrolled in the MA or MACM programs. In order to graduate in 9 quarters an M.Div. student must take an average of 12 hours per quarter; in order to graduate in 6 quarters an MA or MACM student must take an average of 11 hours per quarter. Please plan your program accordingly.
