Ways to Give

Annual Fund or “Northern Fund” undergirds the daily operations of the Seminary. Church giving is an important part of our Annual Fund support and we depend on alumni and friends to share their resources as well.

Lindner Challenge Grant is a dollar for dollar matching gift program up to $200,000 designed to encourage new donors and existing donors to increase contributions for Northern!

Scholarship Support is vital to helping our students achieve their dreams of a theological education at Northern. If you are interested in establishing a scholarship to honor someone important in your life, endowed scholarships start at $10,000. The Founders Day Scholarship Dinner in the fall is a time to celebrate with our supporters and raise funds for student scholarships. This year’s Founders Day Dinner is September 22, 2005.

Legacy Giving or “Planned Giving” via trusts, wills and bequests, is an option for those seeking to perpetuate the Seminary in their estate planning. The Amy Lee Stockton Society recognizes those who include Northern in their wills. Dr. Amy Lee Stockton was the first student to enroll at Northern Seminary in 1913 and the first alum to remember Northern in her estate plans.

PAC stands for “Professionals for the Advancement of Christ” and is a unique network of executives and business men and women who are committed to helping the Seminary continue it’s ministry to the churches.

Memorial Gifts are a great way to honor loved ones, pastors, a favorite professor or other important individuals in your life. One way to give a memorial gift at Northern is to purchase a paver and inscribe it with your message and have it placed on the walkway surrounding the Lindner Conference Center, our signature building on campus.

Endowment—by giving directly to the Seminary’s endowment, you will help Northern strengthen its financial foundation for the future.

Training Leaders Transforming Lives Campaign will establish the new Dr. Ian M. Chapman Administrative Center. Funds from this campaign will also help support faculty enhancements, the endowment, fund Library and computer needs and additional scholarships.

Appeals—Each year our appeal mailings encourage Northern supporters to keep the seminary in their prayers and to consider a gift to support the ongoing ministry of preparing leaders for the churches. Appeals go out for the Founders Day Scholarship, Christmas, Alumni and the Challenge Grant.
