VP of Institutional Advancement Receives Call to Sioux Falls Seminary

  • Nov 03, 2013
Greg Henson, VP of Institutional Advancement at Northern Seminary, has accepted a call to become the 12th President of Sioux Falls Seminary.  He will begin in his new role on February 3, 2014.

Greg has served Northern Seminary for six years with invaluable leadership in the areas of advancement, enrollment and communication.  Northern’s President, Dr. Alistair Brown, said: “Greg has been a key person in very significant changes at Northern.  During these years, Northern’s enrollment has grown, innovative academic programs have been developed and creative financial models put in place, and Greg was at the heart of all these things.  He was the right person at the right time and a wonderful colleague for all of us.  We will miss him greatly.”

Of his departure, Henson noted, "I have been blessed by my time at Northern and thank God for the opportunity to participate in the work he is doing in and through Northern Seminary.  I believe Northern has a great faculty, staff, and board of trustees.  God has wonderful plans for Northern Seminary.  My experiences at Northern have prepared me for the role into which God is calling me, and I am grateful for my time here."

President Brown said, " I know much prayer and deep consideration have gone into this new appointment, both by Greg and Sioux Falls Seminary.  Greg’s departure is sadness for us, but we sense God is in this new venture and he will use Greg in wonderful ways for the kingdom as he brings his gifts to the service of Sioux Falls Seminary.  Northern will begin work immediately on considering how we best meet our institutional advancement needs going forward.”

Please join us in praying for Greg, his wife Heather, and their two children Lydia and Isaac, and also for Northern and Sioux Falls seminaries.
