Current Students Welcome

Welcome! This section of the Northern Seminary website is designed especially for current students. Whether you are a new student or ready to take the final courses in your degree program, you can link here to find resources that will be helpful to you.

Spiritual life is at the heart of the Northern experience. A weekly chapel service, open to students, faculty, staff and guests, is held on Tuesday mornings at 11:45 a.m. during the academic year. Chapel services support the spiritual foundation on which the work of the seminary rests by offering opportunities for corporate worship and fellowship. The chapel page includes further details.

Link from here to the academic calendar, course schedules, course syllabi, and registration pages. Here you can pre-register for classes and add or drop courses online. You can download registration forms, and find necessary information related to your enrollment at Northern.

The Library page is of vital importance to you as a student. Go to the Library site and you can search the catalog where you have literally millions of research materials at your fingertips through the Library’s links with other institutions and digital resources.

Go to Supervised Ministry for information on field placement, CPE programs, ministry opportunities, upcoming meetings and events, and other important information from the office of Dr. Karen Walker Freeburg, Director of Supervised Ministry.

As you explore other parts of the Northern Seminary website, I am sure you will appreciate the search function, improved navigation, and photos that capture the essence of our student body. A special thanks to all of our current students who helped in the creation of this website through their comments, suggestions, and participation in group discussions. Please continue to let us know how the website can be further improved so that the Seminary can better meet your needs.

May God’s blessings be with you in your studies, in your ministry, and in all areas of your life.
