Finding Journal Articles
The ATLA Religion Database is the best place to start. It includes full text from over 120 theological journals.
All Religion Databases will search all 5 religion indexes. If an article is not available full text: 1) Click on the "SFX Find this article" link; 2) If there still is no full text option, click on "Advanced"; 3) Click on the "GO" button by Interlibrary Loan and fill out the online request form.
JSTOR provides a digital, full-text archive of scholarly journals. Our subscription provides full-text access to over 850 journals. If you want to connect to JSTOR from off campus, send an email to .
SAGE Journals Online provides full-text access to over 350 scholarly journals prior to 1999 along with full-text access to 12 of our current subscriptions. Send an email to for information on connecting to SAGE from off campus.
Academic Search Premier has some religion/theology content along with full text for over 4,500 academic journals in other academic fields.
SFX helps you answer the question, "Can I find full text for a certain journal?" Enter a journal title and see if full text is available. Also follow the SFX links in all of our databases as a quick way to place an interlibrary loan request for articles that are not available online.
