Invest in the preparation of leaders for the work of the church.
200 years ago, Adoniram Judson led a group of eight young seminarians on a journey that now marks the beginning of the Modern Mission Movement from America. When asked how people could best support the Church, he spoke about the importance of investing in the preparation of leaders. Like the roots of a tree, preparation creates a foundation upon which a life of ministry can be built. The next chapter in the Modern Mission Movement is being envisioned at Northern as we build on the Foundation laid by Christ and the work of Adoniram Judson.
At Founders Day 2012, Dr. Jerry Cain will share the story of Adoniram Judson and how Northern is continuing the journey he began. Judson created a foundation for mission and his passions are seen in the work of Northern Seminary through our heart for the global church as well as our commitment to raising up missional leaders for our local communities. Join us as we reflect on our roots, the foundations created by preparation for ministry, and the exciting possibilities created when we invest in firm foundations. Northern Seminary is planting seeds which will grow into biblically-based, thriving ministries. Come and hear about God's transforming power at work!
