Tasha Vinson Brown

Director of Urban Relations and Adjunct Professor of Spiritual Development

The Rev. Dr. Tasha Vinson Brown is a servant-leader passionate about leadership development for people of faith. She is the founder and president of the Women’s Leadership Network, Inc., an organization developed to strengthen the leadership skills of women in ministry, specifically and women in leadership, generally. Her passion has fueled her to start many ministries devoted to one’s growth and development in the faith. Her most notable ministry is the daily prayer line for women, ARISE! Through that line Dr. Brown has been able to mentor and train new leaders in ministry, provide a space for ministry for those who do not have many opportunities to minister and allow veteran ministers to mentor and coach those who are new to ministry. Dr. Brown is currently the pastor of Galewood Community Church United Church of Christ. Dr. Brown’s mission to train, educate, and develop leaders is influenced by Paul’s writing, “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up…” Ephesians 4:11,12 NIV
