As technology and culture continue to evolve, so do the demands of modern education. In response to this, Northern has bolstered up and consolidated many of the services available on campus by opening a new Student Services Center. This office is now housed in the building formerly known as the Brimson Grow Library, with the existing library collection becoming part of the broader offerings of the new center as a whole.
This exciting new resource exists to streamline administrative tasks for current students as well as simplify orientation for new students each year. In this single location Northern students can address issues with their official accounts, rearrange class schedules, apply for supervised ministry opportunities, and more. These services complement the rich assets of the library, which include a plethora of academic resources as well as spaces for people to study, relax, and enjoy coffee together. The combination of all of these factors makes for a truly dynamic resource on campus.
Though the center is a new venture for Northern, it will be staffed by familiar faces. Returning students will recognize Leesa Lance, Roni Okubo, Blake Walter, and others, all of whose offices can now be found in the newly-combined facility.
The Student Services Center officially opened on September 24th, 2012, in time for the Fall Quarter. We’re thankful for the ways in which this new office will bless and assist the campus, and are excited to see how it will grow! The Student Services Center can be reached at 630-620-2104.
