Winter Weather and Campus Information
Update: Monday January 6 –
The following information is on our campus Snow Line and is being sent to all faculty and students with Monday classes:
The seminary campus will be open Monday morning. Staff should report to work in the morning, and our two doctoral seminars will both begin at 9:00am. Dr. McKnight’s 1 o’clock class will also meet as scheduled. If you have a 4pm or a 7pm class, please check this Snow Line and your campus email for further announcements Monday afternoon. We will make a final decision on the status of our 4pm and 7pm classes no later than noon on Monday.
Please drive carefully and take appropriate precautions during this bitterly cold weather.
Update: Friday January 4 –
As we get ready for the start of our winter quarter classes on January 6, this is a good time to remind all our campus constituents that information about weather-related or other emergency closings of our campus will always be available:
- Via your Northern Seminary email account. If there is a winter storm, check your campus email account regularly for important campus information.
- Via the campus Snow Line. Call 630-620-2100, and when the recorded greeting starts, dial SNOW (7669) to get any recent updates about weather-related or other emergency conditions.
We also post information about campus closings on the public web site, http://emergencyclosingcenter.com. Information from the Emergency Closing Center web site is broadcast on local radio and television stations. Click on the “E-mail Notification” tab to get an email update whenever information about Northern Seminary is posted on the Emergency Closing Center web site.
Wishing everyone a Happy, and a safe, New Year!
