During the month of July, I did quite a bit a traveling, including a trip to the Baptist World Alliance.  I am sure later posts will touch on that. However, today I am excited that we have launched Northern's refreshed website.  We kept a lot of the same features people told us they liked, but updated the look and feel. The new site will be further enhanced by some new online services for Northern students. I asked Greg Henson, our Executive Director of External Relations, to list some of the new features of the website, and here is what he wrote about the new site.

There are a lot of great new features on Northern's site.  Here is a list of a few that might be of interest...

The site has all the same navigation from the previous site which means everything is still in the same place!  If you are looking for Northern's mission statment, it is in the same place you last saw it.

Featured articles, events, and programs will all be available through the large rotating pictures on the right of the homepage.

Following our desire to make things easily accessible, many often used pages are availabe within one click from the homepage.  Newly added to this section are Northern's Alumni Impact Stories.

Northern's Twitter feed (@nseminary) and Flickr photostream, as well as a link to our Facebook page, are available on the homepage.

The most recent post from all faculty blogs are included on each faculty member’s profile page.

There is a lot more, but these are some of my favorite features.  Northern's enhanced internet presence will allow us to communicate and connect with students, alums, friends, supporters in new and interesting ways!
