Welcome to the Northern Seminary website! At Northern, we want our students to “grow in Christ as they grow in knowledge.” As you learn more about us, you will find that spiritual formation is an integral part of Northern’s education process. We believe that your ongoing study of the scriptures, participation in spiritual formation groups and times of reflection, will deepen your connection with God.  After all, in today’s world people are hungry for leaders who are personally connected to Christ and authentic in their ministries.

Through the years, our alumni have demonstrated Northern Seminary’s commitment to ministry that transforms individuals, communities and even whole generations. Out of Northern have come some of the world’s greatest evangelical leaders. Some of the first editors of Christianity Today magazine were graduates of Northern such as Carl F. H. Henry. The Living Bible is the product of alumnus, Dr. Kenneth Taylor and “Youth for Christ” was founded by alumnus, Torrey Johnson.

Ministry training is more than a “how-to” formula. It’s about thinking, reflecting, relating, learning, praying and growing. At Northern, we are committed to seeing those ideals lived out in the lives of our students.
