Doctor of Ministry in Christian Community Development

New cohort begins June 10-13, 2018, with an intensive class in the Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago.

Program Description:

Through a partnership with Lawndale Community Church and working with the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA), Northern offers a Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis in Christian Community Development. Each student is required to attend three CCDA conferences held in the fall of each year.

Engage in your education with practical, hands-on learning

Foster relationships with other cohort students for future ministry networking

Leadership with Justice and Compassion


Northern offers two types of DMin programs with specialized emphases available in each. In the Cohort program, there are emphases in New Testament ContextChristian Community DevelopmentContextual TheologyTransformative Discipleship, and Preaching.
