The Brimson Grow Library

In addition to providing access to 55,000 volumes, 175 journals, and over 8,000 ebooks, Brimson Grow Library is also part of the I-Share network with access to resources from 75 other academic libraries in the state of Illinois.

Student Services Center

Offices for Student Advising, Student Accounts, Student and Guest Housing, Supervised Ministry, and the Registrar are located in the Kern Hall lobby.  If you have questions regarding Student Services please stop by Monday through Friday between 8:30 am-4:30 pm.

Computer Lab

Students may use the computers available in the upper level of Kern Hall Commons or in the Student Services Center, for word processing and internet access.

Kern Hall Commons

Kern Commons is located on the second floor of Kern Hall, and has free wi-fi service. Vending machines for snacks, hot coffee, cappuccino, tea and hot chocolate are available, as well as a refrigerator and microwave. Tables and chairs are provided for students to use between or after classes. Bulletin boards announcing upcoming events and job opportunities are also located in the classroom hallways. Each student also has a campus mailbox.

 

Community Grocery Shelf (Food Pantry)

Northern’s Community Grocery Shelf is available to students in times of need. Local churches, organizations, faculty, staff and students can donate food items to the pantry.
