Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Trinity College in Deerfield, IL.

Masters of Divinity/Missions from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, IL.

Ph.D in Intercultural Studies at Trinity International University, Deerfield, IL., with an emphasis on Islam.


Dr. Oksnevad has experience as the Director of Training and Development at the South Asian Friendship Center & Bookstore in Chicago, IL 1998-2004, the EFCM missionary working among Iranian refugees and North Africans in Brussels, Belgium from 1986-1994, and the Evangelical Free Church of America pioneer urban pioneer church planting pastor in Hoboken, New Jersey from 1981-1984.  Today he is serving as a missionary with the Evangelical Free Church (EFCA) in their international division Reach Global working among Muslims since 1985.  He also serves as the Director of Muslim Ministry at the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College as well as the Director of the Coalition of Muslim Ministry in North America (COMMA).
