The Jumping-Off Point

Waiting. We call it “travel”, but it is composed of waiting. If an elevator is a box that moves you to another floor, a plane is a tube that moves you to another place. The plane travels, but we wait. It is 5:30pm in Ethiopia; 10:30am in Washington, D.C. In a few minutes, we will move into our tube and wait. (With the final member of our class now with us — glad you made it, Cary!) How far we will travel will be measured in more than miles. May it also be measured in Grace when we arrive.
