An Evening with Dr. Beth Allison Barr

September 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

You are invited to join us for An Evening with Dr. Beth Allison Barr, featuring Dr. Barr, bestselling author of The Making of Biblical Womanhood and the James Vardaman Endowed Professor of History at Baylor University. Dr. Barr specializes in medieval and early modern England, women’s history, and church history. She recently taught a course on castles in England which provoked her social media followers to jealousy. Dr. Barr famously concluded her book with the prophetic encouragement, “Go, be free!”

The conversation will center on the topic: Pastoral reflections on women who experience injustice in Christian institutions and the church. The event is presented by Northern Seminary and hosted by Dr. Scot McKnight. A time for Q&A will be included.
