Jason Gile

Dean of Program Development and Innovation Affiliate Professor of Old Testament

Jason Gile is Dean of Program Development and Innovation, as well as Affiliate Professor of Old Testament at Northern Seminary.

As Dean, Jason develops new innovative degree programs and builds strategic partnerships to advance the mission the Seminary. He also leads Northern’s accreditation and the Seminary’s live-streaming educational technology (Northern Live).

As a professor, Jason teaches the Old Testament as the story of God’s mission to the world through God’s people. His research interests include biblical theology, the book of Ezekiel, and the wisdom literature of the Old Testament. In addition to numerous professional presentations, he has co-edited a book of essays on Deuteronomy and published articles in the Journal of Biblical Literature and in a volume of papers from a symposium on the text of Ben Sira held in Metz, France.
