Bio

Jason Gile (PhD, Wheaton College) is Chief Innovation Officer and Dean of Strategic Initiatives, as well as Assistant Professor of Scriptures at Northern Seminary. Jason develops new innovative programs and builds strategic partnerships to advance the mission of the Seminary. He serves as Executive Director of the streaming video platform Seminary Now.

As a professor, Jason teaches the Old Testament as the story of God’s mission to the world through God’s people. His research interests include biblical theology, the book of Ezekiel, and the wisdom literature of the Old Testament. In addition to numerous professional presentations, he has written Ezekiel and the World of Deuteronomy (2021), co-edited a book of essays on Deuteronomy, and published articles in such outlets as the Journal of Biblical Literature and in a volume of papers from a symposium on the text of Ben Sira held in Metz, France.
