MDiv Graduate Raises Awareness for Foster Children

The Illinois Heart Gallery, an organization bringing awareness to the 2,500+ children in Illinois Foster Care was on display this week.

Northern MDiv graduate Don Winters hosted the gallery at First Baptist Church of Carthage, where he pastors. Comprised of volunteers, the Illinois Heart Gallery is part of a nationwide network of traveling galleries displaying portraits of children looking for loving parents. Other information, such as the child’s personality, interests and aspirations are displayed next to each picture.
