Ministers Workshop

Not only is preaching a crucial aspect of ministry for the people, but it can also be a unique act of worship before the Lord. Recognizing how special that act is, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church (AMBC) is sponsoring a Ministers’ Workshop on Saturday, January 26 from 9:00-2:00 in partnership with Northern Seminary. This dynamic event will be held in the Lindner Conference Center at Northern Seminary’s main campus.

The workshop will cover multiple subjects under the overarching theme of “Forward Momentum in Ministry.” Under that umbrella will be the specific topics of “A Spiritually Healthy Teacher in a Spiritually Sick World,” “Proclamation as Leadership,” and “21st Century Preaching that Changes Lives.” The day will conclude with a rousing keynote delivered by the Rev. Dr. Cleophus J. LaRue, professor at Princeton Theological Seminary and author of multiple books, including I Believe I’ll Testify: The Art of African American Preaching. Additionally, the workshop will be hosted by AMBC’s senior pastor, Rev. Dr. Gerald M. Dew. Lunch will be provided for all attendees (freewill offering welcome).

Northern Seminary is proud to provide space for this rich occasion on its campus. The Ministers’ Workshop is open to aspiring and experienced ministers alike, and we hope to see you there!
