Northern Announces DMin in Faith Formation

In partnership with In the Kingdom Ministries, Northern is excited to announce the launch of its new DMin program in Faith Formation. The program, which centers on the phrase “until Christ is formed in you” enables leaders to dive deeply into their personal faith formation by attending 4 week-long intensives over the period of two years at the Canterbury Retreat and Conference Center.

Intensive week schedules consist of a combination of morning and evening prayer, personal reflection, and community forums and lectures. Students are also required to complete doctoral-level course assignments, as well as participate in three classes at Northern Seminary’s Lombard Campus within this time. These classes include Becoming Doctors of the Church, Biblical and Theological Design, and Thesis Design.

The Faith Formation program provides advanced practical ministry training in a group-based action-reflection process, as well as a spiritually based, historically informed theological approach to faith formation and its impact on the church.
