President’s August Newsletter
Dear Friends,
This Spring, I taught the New Testament books of Acts and Hebrews-Revelation to 35 students. Half of the students joined us by Northern’s Live Streaming technology, the other attended the Lisle Center classroom. These students were eager to reach their communities for Christ. They saw the brokenness of the world as invitations to experience a renewed Macedonian vision in Northern America “to come over and help us.” Each student wrote curriculum for a small group. Most wrote studies designed to help small groups learn through suffering, experience Sabbath, or share Jesus through meals with their neighbors.
My New Testament group is just one example of the kind of students we have coming to Northern. Please pray for this cohort as well as the new students on the way this Fall. Two more summer intensives begin this week (one in Lisle, the other on the South Side). The Fall Term is less than six weeks away!
