President’s May Newsletter

As we look at Jesus’ ministry before and after the resurrection, he prepared the disciples to go through these issues rather than wait for things to change. He gave them practices to journey into resilient and effective ministry: prayer, vulnerability, friendship, and evangelism. This post will discuss the first of these practices, expectant prayer from those who receive our ministry.

2022 Vision Conference

In 2020 The R.H. Boyd Publishing Company and the National Baptist Congress combined their efforts in providing premier Christian Education materials and an annual training conference to host the Vision Conference. In addition to Christian leadership resources, the Vision Conference offers strategy sessions, business advice/mentorship, author services, sermons, workshops, continuing education credits for seminary and secular employment requirements, and access to Northern’s Urban Leadership Degree/Certificate Program and Seminary Now.

We are excited to be in partnership with the Vision Conference as it expands our capacity to lead the church and engage the world. Dr. Dew and Greg Armstrong will be onsite for the 2022 Vision Conference in Nashville, TN, June 16-18, 2022. Dr. Hatch will be teaching a virtual course, The Theology of the Black Church, during the conference. Thank God for this relationship.
