Doctor of Ministry in Christian Community Development

Join the program in the upcoming Lawndale intensive class, June 9–12, 2019.

Program Description:

Through a partnership with Lawndale Community Church and working with the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA), Northern offers a Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis in Christian Community Development. Each student is required to attend three CCDA conferences held in the fall of each year.

Foster relationships with other cohort students for future ministry networking

Accommodations for Intensive Classes

Hotel: Students may stay at the Hotel Chicago for a special rate of $129 for a room with a full size bed, full refrigerator, microwave, Wifi, and cable television. Airbnb: Students may also find housing through Airbnb in the Lawndale area.


Northern offers two types of DMin programs with specialized emphases available in each. In the Cohort program, there are emphases in New Testament ContextChristian Community DevelopmentContextual TheologyTransformative Discipleship, and Preaching.
