Theology on Mission Podcast: Defining “Mutual Submission”

By: Northern Seminary

In our culture the idea of “submission” to anyone or anything is anathema. Fears loom of abuse, manipulation, and oppression. But in Eph. 5:21 we are called to “submit to one another out of reverence to Christ.”

In this new episode of “Theology on Mission”, David Fitch and Geoff Holsclaw talk about what “mutual submission” means biblically and theologically, what it means for churches and leaders, and why it is so hard to do in practice.

Mutual submission is often the missing piece in poly-centric leadership models, where we all learn to submit to Christ in the Spirit, so be sure to listen and engage with this new episode.

And don’t miss the “What ya reading?” and “Fitch vs Fitch” segments at the end.
