Dr. William D. Shiell
President & Professor of Pastoral Theology and Preaching
Dr. William D. Shiell is the eleventh President of Northern Seminary, where he also serves as Professor of Pastoral Theology and Preaching. A native of Pensacola, Florida, Dr. Shiell holds degrees from Samford University (B.A.) and Baylor University (M. Div., Ph.D.).
Dr. Derwin L. Gray is the founding and lead Pastor of Transformation Church (TC), a multiethnic, multigenerational, mission-shaped community in Indian Land, South Carolina, located just south of Charlotte, North Carolina. Derwin is husband to Vicki and papa to Presley and Jeremiah. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University, Southern Evangelical Seminary (M.Div. with a concentration in Apologetics), Northern Seminary (Doctor of Ministry in New Testament in Context) and he has been awarded an honorary doctorate from Southern Evangelical Seminary. He is the author of Hero: Unleashing God’s Power in a Man’s Heart (2010), Limitless Life: You Are More Than Your Past When God Holds Your Future (2013), Crazy Grace for Crazy Times Bible Study (2015), and The High-Definition Leader: Building Multiethnic Churches in a Multiethnic World (2015).
A thought-leading author, pastor, and recognized champion of the Multiethnic Church Movement. Mark planted the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas in 2001 where he continues to serve as Directional Leader. In 2004, he co-founded the Mosaix Global Network serves as its president. Mark has written six books including his latest, Disruption: Repurposing the Church to Redeem the Community (Thomas Nelson, March 2017)
Mark is an Adjunct Professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and teaches D.Min. courses at seminaries across the country including TEDS, Western, and Phoenix, where he earned his own D.Min. in 2006.
